Email Footer Flags
Sometimes during a review, you may notice that your email footer will get flagged multiple times.
Example: This email, and any attachments thereto, is intended only for the use of the addressee(s) named herein and may contain confidential and or legally privileged information. If you are not the intended recipient of this email, you are hereby notified that any dissemination, distribution or copying of this email, and any attachments thereto, is strictly prohibited. If you have received this email in error; please notify me via reply email, permanently delete the original and any copy of the e-mail along with any printout thereof.
The great news is that we've found a super easy workaround to fix this so that your email footer will not be flagged anymore!
To implement this fix, simply add two dashes ("--") before your email signature, and anything that follows those two dashes will not be flagged in a review!
Gmail offers this on email signatures automatically:
For Microsoft users, you will simply need to log into your email account and add two dashes before your email signature, and voilà! You're all set! (For full instructions, please see this article.)
