Why don't you offer Personal LinkedIn archiving?

We know that many have been hoping for personal LinkedIn archiving. While we do support archiving your public LinkedIn company page, unfortunately we cannot offer other LinkedIn archiving at this time.

To access your data, we use secure direct APIs. However, there's no standard across platforms as to what's available to utilize those APIs and access associated data. LinkedIn, by far, is the most strict with giving access to the data of its users.

Archiving through LinkedIn

In the meantime, you can use LinkedIn's built-in archiving function to get your personal data. To access your LinkedIn archive:

1. On your homepage, click on the "Me" icon with your picture in the upper right screen.
2. From the dropdown, choose Settings & Privacy.
3. Click on Data Privacy on the left nav then under How LinkedIn uses your data click on Get a copy of your data.
4. From there, you can choose either an archive of all of your data, or scope it to specific sections. Select Request archive when done. Reenter your password if prompted. You're finished! Your archive will be emailed to you, likely in two separate emails if you chose all data.
