Reauthorizing Accounts
The only upkeep required with XYPN Archive is ensuring your source accounts remain Active.
You'll be notified by email if any accounts need your attention or reauthorization.
Why do I need to reauthorize?
Reauthorization becomes necessary when XYPN Archive loses access to your source account's data. This loss of access can occasionally occur at random due to back-end changes made by the 3rd party service, but typically happens because of one of the following:
Source Account Security Changes
If you make a security-related change to one of your connected source accounts, such as updating your password, you'll need to reauthorize that account. Security-related account changes typically invalidate integration access tokens, so we need you to assure the account that you'd still like us to access your data.
Integration Data Policies
Some sources enforce data policies that require recurring reauthorization. For example: Every 60 days Facebook requires accounts that have connected Business Integrations (like XY Archive) to reapprove that the connection is still desired.
How do I reauthorize a source?
Thankfully, this only takes a minute to do!
First, log in to XYPN Archive and go to your Sources page. Any accounts that need attention will have a warning icon next to them.
Click “See Accounts” and follow the provided link to reauthorize your account.
Please reach out to us at archive@xyplanningnetwork.com if you have any questions.
I didn't update my account immediately. What happens to the data from that time period when I reconnect the account?
Rest easy! XYPN Archive is built to reach back and archive any sent, received, or posted data from the time of its last successful connection.
